Too much work and LOTS of little penguins!!!

Well, I didnt exactly get off to a running start did I!? Far too much work right now...

I moved from Europe and expected at least a 'slightly' easier worklife (that's what New Zealand claims on the tin)...but in actual fact I've landed myself a large U.K based project...meaning I currently have 7am meetings every day and meetings until 9.30pm on most days too...oh and since my Boss is out of the office for 3 weeks, I am also acting Head of Banking and Finance...and all hell has broken loose (in a very good way), so I've simply been working flat out.

I'm tired...oh and I have a bad neck...and I'm getting a cold...I should be taken to the vet and put out of my misery!

Pretty much the only non-work thing I'm managing to do right now is I've started my French lessons at the Alliance Francais in Wellington...bizzarly enough I couldnt take lessons whilst I lived in Geneva because I was often travelling for work, so now I'm not living in a French speaking Country, I'm actually going to learn!

So other than work and Que, Qui, Dont and Celle, Celles, Ceux and what-ever-the-other-one-is, probably the most exctiting thing that has happened was that last night on the way back from my French lesson I was walking along the sea front and I saw my first real wild penguins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It brought tears to my eyes. It was amazing!

Banishing my Blogging Cherry

Hmm... So where do I start with all this Blogging lark??..

Well I blame this on my friend, Pouick, back in Switzerland who is a rather fine and experienced Bloggess and just asked me to start a blog too....Since I have just emigrated to New Zealand from Geneva.

So I have.

And this is it!

So I dont know much. Well I dont know much about blogging at least, but I'll have a go! And I have taken the name of one of my Cats as my pseudonym.

So in this space I'll be Nouka. And so this space will be Nouka's World....I hope my other cat, Sweety-puss, wont be too offended- but I think the name 'Nouka' is much better suited to cyberspace than 'Sweety-Puss' :)

Well I dont have time to say much else right now, as I am sitting in an office above Queens Street in downtown Auckland and I have a lovely taxi-driver called Sunny (more about the story about him to follow!..), arriving soon to take me to the airport for my flight back down to Wellington.

So all that's left for me to do is; to workout how to publish this, send the link to Pouick so she has a nice surprise in the morning, then get my arse (yes I'm sure my use of that word has given it away...I'm an English girl!) downstairs and get myself back down to the best end of this island ;)
